Our materials use real and current examples of advertising to help teach the main concepts and practices of core media literacy skills.

These materials are based on  literacy teaching with the aim of:

  • Teaching advertising and media literacy skills using active learning resources across a range of contexts.
  • Giving children a much greater understanding of advertising, its purpose and methods.

  • They aim to develop pupils’ ability to ‘read’, understand, discuss and write about print, still and moving-image advertising in different media.
